Antique and Attractive Oriental Cane

A very fine and attractive oriental cane. The cane top of pierced ivory depicting a bird among seeds and foliage. When we got this cane, the interior of the handle contained a red but very soiled bit of material. Removal of the cane top revealed the secret of the interior of the material. It was a silk bag filled with seeds. this we removed and replaced with new material and filled with rice seed. The top unscrews from it's solid silver ferrel. The bamboo shaft is in nice condition bearing a brown rich finish. The overall height of the cane is 35 1/2". This is a very beatuiful and unusual cane in typical oriental style. A very nice item reasonably priced.
