Fine Compass & Ivory Cane
We are pleased to offer a very fine Victorian Era compass cane. The beautifully turned elephant ivory inset with an equally nice brass mounted compass. The compass needle is a little sluggish, but a light tap, and she'll point due north. The compass has it's original brass cover (fortunately not engraved with initials). The compass has a needle stop built in so that walking with it did not cause the needle to needlessly vibrate. The shaft is of the finest Irish Bog Oak (jet black and rare). The cane tip is ivory. The diameter of the cane top is 1 3/4". The overall length of the cane is 34 1/2".
