Forged Iron Medievel Boar Spear

This heavy spearhead is obviously handforged and shows numerous folds within, that are the trademark of forged iron blades. Very nice age patina, uncleaned. It is 10" in overall length with a 2 1/2" x 7" blade. As with most boar spears, this piece has a very sturdy build. The tine has a 3/4" diameter where it leaves the blade. A very nice old specimen from a time when spearing wild boar was the epitome of hunting.
